The Full Slate
This Tuesday: Aaron Gies and Nick Langworthy, candidates for congressional district NY-23, go toe-to-toe on the debate stage. Tune in and decide for yourself who deserves to represent Niagara County.
This newsletter wraps up the Niagara County Legislature candidates! Meet Jocelyn Welton and Maria Fabrizio below, then get out and canvass this weekend.
Candidate Spotlight
Jocelyn Welton, County Legislature District 13

Jocelyn is an educator, mother, and community leader- a founding member of Stand Up Lockport who saw firsthand how much the county needed better representation, and decided to run herself. She's challenging Republican incumbent Rick Abbott this fall. Her platform: keeping Lockport affordable, pushing the county to invest in living-wage jobs and the tourism and agriculture industries that keep Lockport working, and bringing real oversight to county tax breaks and spending.
Maria Fabrizio, County Legislature District 15

Maria is a lifelong Niagara County resident raised in a working-class family, with kids in the county's public schools. She's a Licensed Master Social Worker with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families on mental health, plus years volunteering and organizing locally. She’s running again against Republican incumbent Michael Hill in the county's most heavily Republican contested district. She's spent her career showing up for this district, and isn't stopping now.
